Masters

This three-year dual degree program is offered with Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment and Earth Sciences. The MPP/Master of Environmental Management (MEM) gives students a strong background in environmental science plus the policy analysis and public management skills to translate science into policy. The interdisciplinary approach I experienced while at Sanford has been invaluable for my career and helped me become more of a generalist while also maintaining strong subject-matter expertise in environmental issues, where my interest lies. Sanford also enthusiastically supports joint-degree students and encourages them to voice their issue-specific knowledge gained from non-policy classes in the classroom Duke strengths in environmental policy include: sustainable development conservation and protected areas international environmental policy energy and climate cost/benefit analysis
