The Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems emphasizes the use of computers as sophisticated problem-solving tools. Examples include computing with a business focus (e.g., management information systems) and computing with a natural science focus (e.g., computational physics). Four specializations are available to undergraduate Computer Science students in the BSCS and BSCIS degree programs: the Specialization in Data Science, Specialization in Distributed and Cloud Computing, the Specialization in Information Security, and the Specialization in Information and Knowledge Management Systems.
