The Agricultural Education and Leadership sequence is designed to advance student’s skills and knowledge in the field of both formal and informal agricultural education. Through a cross-disciplinary approach utilizing courses and resources from a variety of departments and programs on campus, individuals can tailor a program to provide the skills and knowledge to advance the student in their career. Non-thesis Option: Option II is a 36 hour program that requires a synthesizing experience consisting of three hours of Independent Study (AGR 400) under the direction of a major adviser and with the approval of an advisory committee. Students selecting this option will also complete the degree core requirements of seven hours, fourteen hours of ag electives, nine hours of Curriculum & Instruction, Technology or other approved area, and three hours of electives. Students selecting this option must also pass a comprehensive written/oral examination.
