The basic marketing curriculum is designed to thoroughly acquaint marketing majors with the broad field of marketing and to allow focused study in narrower sub fields, depending upon the students’ interests and aptitudes. Students may choose marketing electives from one or more of the following six career-track concentrations: Advertising/Promotion, Business/Industrial marketing, Marketing research, Retailing/Distribution, Selling/Sales management, and Services marketing. Students can specialize further by choosing a formal sequence of study in Professional Sales or Integrated Marketing Communication. Why Study Marketing? Marketing personnel are concerned with the design, promotion, price and distribution of the product or service and representing. They identify and define marketing promotions that will generate, refine, and create marketing opportunities. The field of marketing is involved in the movement of goods and services from products to final customers. Applicants must have Earned the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma from a recognized international institution of secondary or high school level, or will do so within one academic year of application and must have academic achievement equal to a U.S. grade point average of C or better (2.00 on a 4.00 scale) in courses that reflect proficiencies in basic skill areas. Other English Language Requirements: 550 on the pencil/paper based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), or Computer-based: 213.
