One-Year PG Programme / Two-Year PG Programme (Second Year) The second year of the programme—which can also function as a standalone One-Year PG Programme for eligible candidates—shifts focus toward literary criticism, advanced methodologies, and extensive research. • Third Semester Curriculum: • The coursework consists of 16 Coursework Credits and 4 Research Credits. • This semester carries a total of 20 credits and is evaluated out of 500 marks. • The subjects offered are Theory of Literary Criticism, Mizo Thu leh Hla Thlitfimna, Research Methodology, Mizo Hla Hlui, and Dissertation (Part I: Proposal). • Fourth Semester Curriculum:

Admission Requirements
Admission to the postgraduate programmes at the Department of Mizo is open to all candidates who hold a Bachelor’s degree with Mizo as a core subject from various recognized colleges. Prospective students must apply before the start of the new academic session and participate in an official entrance examination conducted by the department. Final selection and enrollment are strictly merit-based, evaluated holistically on the applicants' foundational academic qualifications in their undergraduate studies and their overall performance in the departmental entrance test.
