Our mission is to prepare students at the master´s and doctoral levels to become leaders in the professions of NTNU-Graduate Institute of Information & Computer Education. Students focusing on eLearning studies are expected to graduate with adequate knowledge and skills to promote eLearning and be able to contribute to the modernization of education and training systems in Taiwan. Students concentrating on computer education studies shall acquire professional competence in implementing technology-integrated instruction and computer science education at all school levels. This is accomplished by providing a high-quality, comprehensive educational experience for our students.


The master´s program of Information and Computer Education started in 1991 and the Ph.D. program in 1997.The master´s program requires completion of no less than 28 credits and a master´s thesis, whereas students in the Ph.D. program are required to complete 24 credits of coursework and a dissertation.


The seven faculty members of ICE are all full-time professors that renowned in and dedicated to their fields of expertise. They also play the leading role in the development of our nation’s eLearning and computer education by actively participating in the related policy-making and textbook-reviewing process.

Admission Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Chinese Language Proficiency:
    • Chinese proficiency certificate at CEFR Levels B1 (or above)
  • Those who choose the Chinese-taught program are required to provide a Chinese language proficiency certificate.
    • English Language Proficiency:
      • English proficiency certificate at CEFR Levels B1 (or above)
    • Those who choose the English-taught program are required to provide an English language proficiency certificate.
      • Not required for applicants from English-speaking countries (proof required).
      • Not required for applicants whose previous degree is from English-speaking countries (proof required).
