The poor housing conditions in Lima and in our main cities and the growing quantitative deficit that overwhelms them are, without a doubt, the most visible expressions of poverty and of underdevelopment in general; problems that are necessarily a concern for our Faculty. The patient work of the inhabitants themselves, the official efforts and the private contributions, especially from NGOs, to overcome the situation require trained personnel capable of collaborating in the improvement of this situation. Hence the decision to create this mention that goes beyond the courses that have been given on the subject, both at undergraduate and graduate levels.
