The PhD in Mathematics arises from the coupling of the courses already active at the Universities of Milano-Bicocca and Pavia with the ambition, thanks to the contribution of the Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica (INdAM), to become a point of reference at national and international levels. The PhD program in Mathematics is promoted, supported and organized by the Departments of Mathematics of the Universities of Milano-Bicocca and Pavia and by the INdAM. In the Faculty, some researchers come from the Istituto di Matematica Applicata e Tecnologie Informatiche (IMATI) of the CNR (Pavia and Milan) and from the Universities of Brescia Cattolica, Brescia, Milano Bocconi, Parma and University of Surrey in UK. Admission Requirements
Applicants may apply for a PhD program without nationality restrictions if, at the cut-off date of the call for applications, they have obtained one of the following degrees: · Bachelor’s degree obtained according to the relevant regulations before the entry into force of Ministerial Decree no. 509/1999 · Specialization degree (Ministerial Decree no. 509/1999) · Master’s degree (Ministerial Decree no. 270/2004) or eligible foreign qualification.
