The Master of Architecture is a architecture professional training programme  leading to Part II  accreditation by Majlis Akreditasi dan Pendidikan Senibina (MAPS) Malaysia, Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM). This programme a continuation of Part I B.Sc. (Hons) Architecture prepares graduates for a professional career in Architecture after some year of industry experience and sitting for their final LAM Part III exam.


Programme focuses on architecture design, technology integration, sustainable building design, urban planning, research, professional practice and environology. Students are expected to demonstrate the knowledge learnt in the supporting subjects in their Final Design Thesis. Architecture firms and professional architects are involved closely in the preparation of curriculum, training and teaching if the courses. It is a programme fully integrated with theory and practice.

(1) a Bachelor's Degree with Honours and CGPA of 2.75 and above or a Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA of 2.75 and above in a related field from UTAR; or
(2) a Bachelor's Degree with Honours and CGPA of 2.00 and above but less than 2.75 or a Bachelor's Degree with CGPA of 2.00 and above but less than 2.75 in the relevant field of study from UTAR and subjected to rigorous assessment; or
(3) any other qualifications equivalent to (i) and (ii) as recognized by the Senate and Board of Architects Malaysia; 
and at least six months of post degree Practical Experience in a registered architect's office evidenced in a log book;
and a portfolio (Working & Study portfolio) for submission and assessment
