The Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering is designed to train graduates with professional skills enabling them to gain employment in the biomedical engineering industry or to enter competitive Biomedical Engineering PhD research programs. It also offers the option to UCF College of Medicine students to enrich education and professional careers by pursuing a tailored MSBME/MD program. Graduates will have a command of the application of engineering principles to biological and health systems. They will gain skills in modern biomedical engineering tools, understanding of relevant physiology and biology, knowledge of contemporary topics in medical technology, and ability to engage in advanced engineering studies including elements of research, analysis, design and experimentation. Career opportunities include research, design, analysis, testing and product development in the biomedical and rehabilitation industries, in clinical engineering, and in biomedical engineering.

Admission Requirements

Students must have a Bachelor (Honours) consisting of four or more years of full-time study, or a Bachelor degree following a National Certificate or National Diploma. International students also have the following other English language requirements: a minimum 220 on TOEFL (computer-based).
