The Master of Arts in Elementary Education (Grades K-6) ESOL Endorsement/Reading Endorsement program is a state-approved initial teacher certification program designed for individuals who have an undergraduate degree in a field other than Elementary Education (grades K-6) and who wish to become certified to teach in this field. Elementary Education is the largest program in the college. Many program classes are offered in purpose-built classrooms in the UCF Academy for Teaching, Learning and Leadership. Some classes are also offered in innovative, alternative teaching environments, such as the Saturday Reading Camps and onsite at local public schools. Graduates from this program receive the state's English for Speakers of Other Languages Endorsement in addition to certification in Elementary Education. The Master of Arts in Elementary Education (Grades K-6) ESOL Endorsement/Reading Endorsement is a state-approved initial teacher preparation program that is subject to any change in the Florida Administrative Code (State Board of Education Rule 6A-5.066). Students enrolled in this program should remain in close contact with their adviser to keep informed of any program changes implemented to comply with new state requirements.

Students must have a Bachelor (Honours) consisting of four or more years of full-time study, or a Bachelor degree following a National Certificate or National Diploma. International students also have the following other English language requirements: a minimum 220 on TOEFL (computer-based).
