The Master of Social Work (MSW) program prepares students for advanced social work practice. The program educates students for community-based clinical social work practice with individuals, families, and groups. UCF's graduate program in social work leads to a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) and prepares students for advanced social work practice. The program educates students for community-based clinical social work practice with individuals, families and groups. Graduates of the program have the ability to work with diverse clients in a variety of agency settings. The part-time M.S.W. program is designed for working professionals. Courses are held on 1 to 2 evenings per week, depending on courses chosen, with students taking 2 to 3 courses per semester, including summer terms. This includes some online and mixed online/classroom courses. The curriculum is organized within five areas: Human Behavior and Social Environment Social Welfare Policies Social Work Practice Research Field The UCF School of Social Work mission of the M.S.W. program is to prepare generalist and advanced clinical social work students to become practitioners who promote optimal well-being, human rights, and social and economic justice. The school focuses on social change from a regional and global perspective with individuals, families, groups and communities in diverse practice settings through research informed practice.

Students must have a Bachelor (Honours) consisting of four or more years of full-time study, or a Bachelor degree following a National Certificate or National Diploma. International students also have the following other English language requirements: a minimum 220 on TOEFL (computer-based).
