The Bachelor’s Degree Program in Consumer and Environmental Protection is the second program of its kind established in Romania, developed in response to labor market demands and new legislative requirements. The program is authorized by ARACIS (letter no. 3076/23.05.2018) and is included in the list of fields and specializations for undergraduate studies published in the Nomenclature of University Study Domains (Official Gazette no. 375bis/11.05.2020). The program offers full-time study places, both state-funded and tuition-based. Students develop competencies in applying ISO standards, total quality assurance norms, and regulations; developing, implementing, and managing projects in the field; identifying and analyzing environmental problems; and determining the interaction between natural and anthropogenic factors, assessing their impact on the natural and built environment and on food safety. Graduates are awarded the professional title Engineer, with the qualification Consumer and Environmental Protection. Total duration: 4 years (240 ECTS). Career opportunities include expert engineer in the food industry, production engineer, specialist inspector in food industry engineering, expert in accessing European structural and cohesion funds, environmental auditor, environmental analyst, research assistant in ecology and environmental protection, and environmental protection inspector.
