The Bachelor’s Degree Program in Food Products Engineering is one of the foundational specializations of the Faculty of Food Engineering, legally framed by ARACIS (letters no. 3985/08.06.2012 and 3085/23.05.2018) and included in the Nomenclature of University Study Domains (Official Gazette no. 375bis/11.05.2020). The program offers full-time study places, both state-funded and tuition-based, and can be delivered either in Romanian or in English. The curriculum provides a comprehensive education in food process engineering, food science, and food safety, integrating theoretical and practical learning. Students develop competencies in identifying, describing, and applying food science concepts, managing general engineering processes, operating installations and equipment in the food industry, and designing innovative food products. The program emphasizes production management, quality control, marketing processes, and sustainable technologies, including by-product recovery and environmental protection. Graduates are awarded the professional title Engineer, with the qualification Food Products Engineering. Total duration: 4 years (240 ECTS). Career opportunities include food industry engineer, design engineer, food safety auditor, research engineer in food processing technology, and environmental and consumer protection specialist. The program prepares graduates for innovation, technical leadership, and sustainability in the global food industry.
