The Bachelor of Science (Extended) is a four-year degree that provides a pathway for Indigenous students to embark on careers that build on a strong science background. You will have access to the full range of opportunities available in the Bachelor of Science, together with additional support and resources to provide a strong foundation for success in science study. A key element of the Bachelor of Science (Extended) is that this program is residential – students live in University residential colleges and benefit from the extra support and opportunities that colleges provide. These and many other questions about the state of the planet will greatly challenge the way we live in the future. This major will provide you with an understanding of how the Earth’s atmosphere, oceans and land surfaces influence changes to our environment. You will learn about climate modelling and prediction, the role of principal wind and ocean current systems, and how these interact with the land surface to influence weather, climate and hence the environment.
