The Bachelor of Science (Extended) is a four-year degree that provides a pathway for Indigenous students to embark on careers that build on a strong science background. You will have access to the full range of opportunities available in the Bachelor of Science, together with additional support and resources to provide a strong foundation for success in science study. Making efficient use of scarce resources for the management and conservation of the environment is a major challenge within the sphere of environmental science. This major will enable you to help identify and solve our world’s pressing environmental problems, through studies in disciplines ranging from biology to earth science and chemistry. It will also equip you with valuable experience in environmental monitoring and management, as well as skills in risk and issues assessment. Environmental Science provides you with the skills to identify and understand the risks posed to the natural environment by various human activities, and to understand the social and political context in which environmental scientists operate.
