Students earning a B.S. degree with a major in biology must complete a minimum of 122 credits for the General Biology and Pre-medical/Pre-dental/Pre-veterinary Medical Biology concentrations and a minimum of 125 credits for the Biochemistry concentration. Courses include the University Core Curriculum and the course requirements for the particular biology concentration as indicated below. Concentration in Pre-medical/Pre-dental/ Pre-veterinary Medical Biology This concentration gives the student the basic entrance requirements of virtually every U.S. college of medicine, dentistry, and veterinary medicine.
