This program offers challenging courses in research design, program evaluation, and statistics. UNT offers career planning and placement services, counseling and testing center, financial aid and scholarship services, international programs, legal assistance, housing information, a reading and study skills laboratory, and a well-staffed health center. The Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Analysis, which is associated with the department, offers opportunities for hands-on practical in program evaluation and methodological/statistical consultation. The internationally renowned Center for Parent Education also offers students opportunities for research and outreach. Those entering the program without a Master's degree are expected to fulfill these requirements plus additional graduate level courses with their adviser’s approval that will fulfill UNT’s 90-hour doctoral requirements post Bachelor's. These courses will fulfill the requirements for a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology, with Specializations in educational research and evaluation.
