In this program students will need to complete the 42 credit hours required by the university core curriculum. In addition, 39 hours must be earned in business courses as specified by the college. The concentration will consist of an additional 27 hours in the program core and 12 hours of electives focusing on either the operations or management aspects of aviation (including a capstone course). Aviation course work covers topics including air cargo and air passenger operations planning, aviation law and public policy, aviation maintenance and safety, and an overview of the aviation industry. Logistics course work includes business transportation, global logistics management and a required paid internship in an aviation logistics field. The course work is generally conceptual in nature, with analysis and numerical problem-solving courses (college algebra) included toward the end of the program.
