Trial & Appellate Advocacy Concentration Students who wish to become litigators receive specialized practical training to prepare for careers in litigation, civil and/or criminal trial and appellate work, or dispute resolution. A wide range of courses enables students to learn and demonstrate competencies in writing, appellate and trial advocacy, evidence, trial preparation and conduct, alternative dispute resolution, negotiation, and counseling and representation of clients.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or the equivalent from an institution of acceptable standing that is comparable to a degree from the University of the Pacific both in distribution of academic subject matter and in scholarship achievement. At least a B average (3.0 GPA) or its equivalent is required for full admission. Other English Language Requirements: The TOEFL a score of at least 550 (213 on the computer-based test) is required to be considered for admission to Graduate Studies. Other English Language Requirements: The TOEFL: A minimum score of 600 for the paper-based test, 250 for the computer-based test.
