Majors Offered Diversified Pedagogy Students must complete a minimum of 124 units with a Pacific cumulative and major/program grade point average of 2.0 in order to earn the bachelor of arts in liberal studies degree with a major in diversified. (Please note – a 2.5 GPA is required in all courses that lead to a teaching credential.) A Diversified Major leads to a preliminary credential for elementary teaching in California. A Pedagogy Major is designed for undergraduate students from other countries who wish to teach in their home countries. Undergraduate Preparation for a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and a Level One Education Specialist Credential Students in the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies program in the Benerd School of Education may pursue an Education Specialist Credential, Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe Disabilities, Level One and the Diversified-Liberal Studies Major. Students complete: the Diversified-Liberal Studies Major described previously, prerequisite courses in Teacher Education Program described above (these are listed later in this section), the following courses in the Education Specialist Level One program:
