University of the Pacific has partnered with the Academy for Academic Leadership (AAL) to present the Master's degree program created specifically for health professions educators. This non-thesis Master's program is designed to be completed in one year and is applicable to academic professionals in dentistry, dental hygiene, and other health professions, as well as private-practice professionals transitioning to academia. YOU WILL Develop your expertise in dental education Earn your Master’s degree in one year Build a foundation in educational research Improve your grant writing and scholarship skills Enhance your academic portfolio Work with expert faculty and colleagues from the U.S. and beyond PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS Start in January and complete all coursework by December 32 academic credits from the University of the Pacific A Certificate in Health Professions Education is awarded after completion of the first 6 academic credits Three onsite sessions totaling 11 days in San Francisco and Atlanta Convenient online learning supplements onsite curriculum Non-thesis Master's program Research projects and all assignments are focused on health professions education Master's degree is both regionally and nationally accredited The program faculty includes leaders from University of the Pacific's Gladys L. Benerd School of Education and Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, as well as experts from AAL with experience in dental education and other health sciences. AAL is a collaborative of scholars, educational specialists, and academic leaders providing professional development and consulting services to the academic health professions in universities worldwide.
