Overview

The University of Stirling’s educational programs are designed to give students the transferable skills, personal qualities and relevant work experience sought by employers in today’s competitive job market. The high demand for University of Stirling graduates is evidenced by the university’s ranking as 7th in the UK for graduate employability, with 96% of graduates placed in employment, or further study, within six months of graduation (Telegraph/HESA, 2015). Additionally, the University achieved a 5 star ratings for employability and facilities as part of the 2014 QS Stars University Ratings.

The University of Stirling is rated us first in Scotland for sport facilities according to the 2015 Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey.  Students have access to a state-of-the-art gym, strength and conditioning suite and dedicated cycling studio. For outdoor lovers, Stirling’s 330-acre estate is the perfect natural playground for hillwalking, and the university has its own lake for canoeing and kayaking.

The University of Stirling played host to Team Scotland for Glasgow’s Commonwealth Games, serving as preparation camp for our country’s finest athletes. Here, they had access to some of the UK’s best training facilities.  The university is home to the National Swimming Academy as well as the  Gannochy National Tennis Centre which served as the training ground for Wimbledon champion, Andy Murray.
