The high demand for Stirling graduates is evidenced by 96% of our graduates in employment, or further study, within six months of graduating.

Additionally, the University achieved a 5-star excellence award for Employability (QS Stars, 2014).

University of Sporting Excellence

Stirling is Scotland’s official University for Sporting Excellence. The campus played host to Team Scotland for Glasgow’s Commonwealth Games, serving as preparation camp for the country’s finest athletes. Here, they had access to some of the best training facilities in the UK. Students rated us first in Scotland for sport facilities (The Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey, 2015).

The University is home to the National Swimming Academy and the Gannochy National Tennis Centre where Wimbledon champion, Andy Murray, trained. Also on campus, students can find a state-of-the-art gym, strength and conditioning suite and dedicated cycling studio. The 330-acre estate is the perfect natural playground for ramblers and hillwalkers, and students can try canoeing and kayaking on Stirling’s very own loch.

5-star living

Thanks to an ongoing, multi-million-pound investment in the Stirling residences; the school offers a wide selection of high quality accommodation. Whatever a student’s budget or requirements, they can find a place to suit their needs, with some accommodation specifically allocated for postgraduate students who can choose to live on campus or within walking distance of the University.

Stirling received a five-star rating for the university’s facilities as part of the QS Stars University Rating.

A higher standard of living at a lower cost While the cost of living in Stirling is lower than the UK average, the standard of living certainly isn’t. The price of University accommodation varies according to the type of residence chosen. In 2015 the weekly rate for a single room varied from £90 - £137 per week.

Foundation and Pre-sessional English
