This program is an interdisciplinary, high-demand educational experience in which students complete two graduate degrees within an accelerated timeframe. MAS/LIS students gain rich expertise suited to hybrid library/archives environments and cultural institutions, giving them a competitive edge. For nearly 20 years this program has trained students in both the disciplines of archival and information studies through diverse coursework and learning opportunities. Upon completion students will receive two master’s degree certificates; one in Archival Studies and the other an ALA accredited Library and Information Studies degree. This program has strong connections to the local and provincial library community, offering opportunities for professional development, networking and job experience with more than 150 libraries, archives, museums and cultural heritage organizations.
