The Department consists of  more than 400 physicians, surgeons, scientists and educators and over 70 administrative, research and technical staff in nine divisions. Specialty training programs are offered in Cardiac Surgery, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology, Pediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Radiation Oncology and Developmental Radiotherapeutics, Thoracic Surgery and Vascular Surgery. Distributed across British Columbia, our faculty and students are located in our affiliated hospitals including Vancouver Hospital and Health Sciences Centre, St. Paul's Hospital, B.C. Children's Hospital, Royal Columbian Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital, the University Hospital of Northern BC, Nanaimo Regional Hospital, and the British Columbia Cancer Agency.
