French with Italian at Warwick enables students to explore the extraordinary breadth and depth of French and Francophone language and culture in collaboration with recognised experts in the field. Students will study the French language through and alongside the historical, cultural, geographical, and political contexts in which French is spoken across the world. At the same time, students will develop their linguistic skills in Italian. The topics in this course span across politics, philosophy, literature, visual culture and history. Students will spend their second or third year abroad, consolidating and enhancing their learning in a Francophone environment, either as a language assistant or working or studying at one of the partner institutions. Throughout this degree, students will spend a quarter of their time on Italian.
