The programme enables you to explore, with depth, the operational and strategic breadth of modern global business. You will explore operational contexts that will enable you to perform as a highly effective, internationally informed, manager. You will understand the principles and practice of business management and operation for different business sizes and models including small businesses and multi-national corporations (MNCs). The programme enables you to collect, appraise and analyse multi-source data and this enables you to cultivate your problem-solving and decision-making skills. The programme also allows you to reflect on your progress and develop intellectual skills through your engagement with case studies or ‘real world’ project work. In an academic context you will critically appraise published academic and business literature, as well as organisation policy and practice. This Advanced Practice course combines theoretical learning of business and management from a global perspective, along with the application of practical skills.

A degree from a recognised University or from an equivalent awarding institution at second class Honours level or above; or a professional qualification recognised as equivalent to the above; or an award which the University has agreed to accept as equivalent to the above. Where English is not the candidate's 1st language, or their degree was not wholly taught and assessed in English, an IELTS score of 6.0 must be achieved, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component. Candidates who are not graduates but who have significant work experience at a suitable level, may be considered. Admission for these candidates is at the discretion of the programme leader. Applicants need to complete an application form and provide evidence of previous qualifications.
