The PgCert Clinical Education is specifically tailored to support and develop knowledge and understanding within the complexities of clinical education and supervision. It also focuses on innovation, educational developments, and leadership.

PgCert Clinical Education provides the essential knowledge, skills and tools to enhance your professional development within this area of practice.

The PgCert Clinical Education comprises three 20-credit modules that enable you to develop knowledge, skills and understanding within education and leadership settings. You will study part-time over six months.

The course aims to develop the underpinning principles, the latest innovations and approaches to the concepts and challenges of healthcare and clinical education and leadership. It will help you use critical analysis to analyse current thinking in leadership, the impact of the changing multi-professional workforce and approaches to collaborative working. 

Learning occurs over a 30-week period (excluding standard university closures) and is structured as follows:

7005NAPPG - Principles of Clinical Education and Supervision

  • 15 weeks
  • January to April

7004NAPPG - Multi-professional Leadership and Management

  • 15 weeks
  • April to July

7016NAPPG - Contemporary Innovations in Clinical Education

  • 15 weeks
