The professionally-accredited BA (Hons) Midwifery includes extensive opportunities for students to complete supervised clinical practice in one of LJMU’s affiliated NHS Trusts within Merseyside and Cheshire. Students will also gain further training using our on-campus clinical practice suites. Midwives work individually and as part of a team to provide support and education to women and their families during pregnancy, childbirth and in the postnatal period, monitoring and assessing the health and well-being of the mother and baby.

Prior to application applicants must have obtained grade 4 or grade C or above in English Language and Mathematics GCSE. The Faculty of Health will accept Edge Hill University's equivalence tests in English and mathematicsas an alternative to the GCSE requirements.
