Students in the Master of Project Management complete foundation subjects and then select from a range of advanced project management electives. Students may focus all electives on extending their project management expertise, or may elect to complete a specialist sub-major in one of four disciplines:

UTS’s Master of Project Management is accredited by the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Royal Society of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), and is endorsed by the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM). It is the first Australian program to be accredited by PMI’s Global Accreditation Centre. The foundation subjects are compatible with the structures used by the PMI and Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) to certify practitioners.



UTS delivers most of the postgraduate project management subjects in intensive block workshops. These workshops offer an immersive experience where students work with their peers in a team-based, simulated project environment.



UTS academics are at the forefront of project management research internationally. This breadth of knowledge ensures that students have access to leading-edge thinking applied in both project-specific and organisational contexts. Teaching staff and specialist guest lecturers have extensive industry experience and knowledge of current trends in project management practice.

To be eligible for admission to this course, applicants must meet the following criteria.

Applicants must have one of the following:
  • Completed UTS Graduate Certificate in Project Management, UTS Graduate Diploma in Project Management, or UTS Graduate Diploma in Construction Management

OR

  • Completed Australian bachelor's degree or higher qualification, or overseas equivalent AND A minimum of 1 year full-time, or equivalent part-time, relevant professional work experience


Applicants who do not meet the criteria above should consider applying for C11005 Graduate Certificate in Project Management.

For applicants who need to demonstrate professional work experience:

Curriculum Vitae AND Statement of service in one of the following formats:
  • A 'Statement of Service' provided by the employer
  • A completed 'UTS statement of service' signed by the employer
  • A statutory declaration confirming professional work experience (for Australian Residents only)
  • An official letter from the applicant's accountant or solicitor on their company letterhead confirming the applicant's professional work experience or engagement with the business, duration of operations, and the nature of the business
  • A business certificate of registration in original language and English (e.g. provision of ASIC documentation or ABN or similar documentation for Australian Businesses)
