Baylor's Theatre Arts program offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Studies. The program requires a number of courses in the liberal arts but is mostly comprised of 75 hours of theatre courses. The Theatre Studies is for those interested in studying theatre who is not interested primarily in performance. Courses available include: Acting Realism, Stage Management, Dance, Scenic Elements, Directing. The Theatre Department also offers a summer study abroad program every other year in which students travel to different countries in order to experience theatre in different cultures. Some Theatre Arts alumni have gone on to complete graduate school while others have gone on to work in the entertainment industry immediately following the completion of their undergraduate degree. Theatre Arts students have the opportunity to live at the Fine Arts Living-Learning Center in North Village, along with other Fine Arts students. Living-Learning Centers are residence halls where students of common academic or extracurricular interests live together.
