There is a fierce, interconnected campaign being waged against our language - the Arabic language - through attempts to obliterate it and diminish its importance, and to encourage our children to stay away from specializing in it and pursuing studies in its sciences in various scientific programs, using means, methods, and phenomena under embellished names. In reality, these are Westernizing and colonialist efforts to eliminate the last strongholds of strength and steadfastness among our children, to distance them from our Arabism, our Islam, our Qur’an, and the pure authenticity of Islamic civilization.

This program is a wise step, God willing, towards restoring the glory of the Arabic language among its speakers. The Master's program in Arabic Language and Literature was established in 1997/1998 to play a leading role in serving the Arabic language, which God honored with His Holy Book, ensuring its immortality and safeguarding it from loss and extinction, for it is preserved by the preservation of His Holy Book. The Master's program in Arabic Language serves Palestinian students wishing to pursue postgraduate studies through both thesis and comprehensive tracks. Its courses are taught by a distinguished group of professors from the Department of Arabic Language, who instill in their students a spirit of critical thinking and research, serving the language, the nation, and the homeland.
