The Educational Administration program at Al-Quds University is a graduate program in education, having commenced in 1997. The program awards a Master's degree in Educational Administration in general, without specialization in specific areas. Its aim is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to work in school administration, educational supervision, and leadership of educational institutions. The program's curriculum was developed upon its inception and partially revised in 2008. The current curriculum requires students to complete 36 credit hours (plus 3-9 credit hours of remedial courses, which are not counted towards the student's total credit hours). The credit hours are currently distributed as follows:
  • 9 credit hours consist of mandatory research courses shared with other education programs.
  • 12 credit hours are mandatory major courses.
  • 3 credit hours is an elective course for non-major subjects (one course out of 3 courses).
  • 12 credit hours, which are either:

  1. Four optional specialization courses (for the non-thesis track/i.e., the comprehensive exam track)
  2. Or two elective major courses totaling 6 credit hours, in addition to a 6 credit hour master's thesis.

Although there is a Diploma in Educational Administration program within the graduate studies programs in education, this program does not practically grant any diploma certificate; all those enrolled in the diploma program are automatically transferred to the Master’s program after completing the credit hours allocated to the diploma, which are 30 credit hours, due to the fact that the study plan for the Diploma in Educational Administration program, which was prepared by the program in 2009, did not obtain approval from the Academic Council at Al-Quds University and accreditation from the Ministry of Higher Education.

Vision of the Educational Management Program :

The program's vision is to be a distinguished program at the national level, and for its graduates to be in a competitive position in the Palestinian educational market.
