The Medical Laboratory Sciences Department at Al-Quds University proudly holds international accreditation for its Bachelor’s Program in Medical Laboratory Sciences from the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) in the United States — a distinction earned by only a select number of programs worldwide.

This achievement is the result of years of dedicated work by our distinguished academic and administrative staff, who bring extensive scientific and practical expertise, supported by specialized teaching and research laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic technologies. It reflects the department’s strong commitment to both academic and professional excellence.

NAACLS accreditation is an international recognition of the program’s quality and alignment with global standards in laboratory science education and training. Most importantly, it allows our graduates to directly sit for the American Society for Clinical Pathology – Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) examination without the need for additional bridging programs. This exam is a mandatory or highly preferred prerequisite for practicing as a certified medical laboratory professional in many countries, including the United States, Canada, and most Gulf states such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.

Earning the ASCP-BOC certification enables our graduates to:
  • Obtain professional licensure eligibility in countries where it is required.
  • Secure high-demand positions in internationally recognized hospitals, laboratories, and research centers.
  • Gain a competitive edge in both local and global job markets.
  • Access prestigious postgraduate programs worldwide.
  • Many of our alumni have already passed the ASCP-BOC exam and are now working in leading medical and academic institutions.
