The program of BS A &F was launched in 2013 with the overall objective of preparing students for the role of accounting/ finance professionals who can add value to all areas of organization. To provide an in-depth knowledge of principal methods and techniques of accounting and financial management and to Enhance interpersonal, team building, communication and leadership skills.

The BSA&F program is intricately aligned with the curricula of prominent national and international professional accountancy bodies such as ICAP, ACCA, and CFA, ensuring the attainment of their desired standards. Through formal agreements, we've established partnerships with ACCA and ICAP, granting our students significant exemptions upon completion of specific milestones in their academic journey. For instance, through our collaboration with ACCA, students completing their 6th semester can claim exemptions for up to 9/13 ACCA papers. Similarly, our MoU with ICAP designates NBS as a Relevant Degree Awarding Institute (RDAI), entitling BSAF graduates to exemptions from all papers of AFC and 5 papers of CAF level. To obtain certification, students are required to appear in 4 CAF papers and complete practical training of 3.5 years. Moreover, they have to appear in 6 CFAP papers and 2 case study exams during training/articles.  Furthermore, our collaboration with CIMA allows for exemptions of 15/16 papers to students with (CGPA > 3.5). For students below 3.5 CGPA 10/16 papers are exempted after completion of their 6th semester. While not based on formal agreements, NBS's recognition as an A Star University facilitates these exemptions. Additionally, with regards to CFA, while exemptions aren't granted as a standard practice, our curriculum is designed to prepare students effectively for Level 1 and partially for Level II of the CFA examinations.
