The Executive MBA program was launched in the Spring Semester of 2009 and since then it has had thirteen intakes until the Fall Semester of 2023. The Executive MBA (EMBA) program is designed for working professionals in the industry who have a minimum of three year work experience. A typical student takes about two years to complete the course requirements of 18 courses along with two business research projects (total 60 credits).

To enable the working professionals to continue their studies along with their regular job commitments, the EMBA classes are held in the evening on Thursday and Friday and from morning till evening on Saturday.

In the assessments we assign special weightage to in class experiential learning activities. This allows for learning not only from the faculty, but also from fellow students within the classroom and their experiences. The program provides unique interactive learning activities based on state-of-the-art concepts, techniques, methods and corporate experiences that can be implemented in the executive’s work environment with successful outcomes; providing the participants with the knowledge and capabilities to become the architects of their future successes.

Students are required to have a minimum 3.00 CGPA to be eligible to earn the degree. This make the degree competitive and quality oriented. Besides we follow minimum 75 percent class attendance in the degree.

Keeping in view the nature and rigor of the program, following objectives have been designed for the program:

Problem Solving/Critical Thinking: Students will develop critical thinking skills, that is, the process of conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and/or evaluating information as the basis for solving problems and making decisions.

Stakeholder Value/Functional Knowledge: Students will demonstrate both breadth and depth of knowledge in the major functional areas of the organization; students will develop an understanding of the concept of value, the role of the different business functional areas in value creation, and how the activities of the organization impact company stakeholders including owners, employees, customers, local communities, interest groups and society as a whole.

Interpersonal/Communication skills: Students will enhance the interpersonal skills needed for success within organizations, including an understanding of self and others, and to build productive teams. Students will demonstrate the ability to correspond effectively and persuasively in a business format, communicate effectively with individuals and within teams, and present to both individuals and groups clearly and persuasively.

Leadership: Students will demonstrate a capacity to lead in organizational situations, apply knowledge in new circumstances, and be innovative in solving problems.

Integration Objective: To be able to integrate knowledge across functions to guide decision-making at the executive level.
