This Bachelor of Computing Science is designed for individuals passionate about computer science, IT, and related fields, aiming for technical roles in industry.

You will acquire robust technical knowledge, specialising in your chosen area, while also developing essential skills in problem-solving, teamwork, project management, and communication.

This course is offered both in Standard mode, and as part of the UTS Industry Degree Academy (IDeA).

The Standard Program of the course offers the same academic content but without the cadetship component.

The IDeA Program utilises a cadetship model which integrates work and study throughout the degree. Learning occurs through a combination of academic study and workplace learning, supported by portfolios and industry certifications, ensuring a well-rounded professional development. Arrangements can be made to gain academic credit for approved workplace activities.

The Bachelor of Computing Science is part of the Industry Degree Academy program, which uniquely combines work and study in an integrated cadetship format where students’ workplace activities are credited towards this degree. Unlike working while studying, the Bachelor of Computing Science is designed to enable employers and students to actively contribute to the learning outcomes via portfolios and industry certifications and training. As well as gaining strong technical skills and a full qualification in computing science and IT for their chosen specialisation, students also gain skills in problem-solving, teamwork, project management and communication.
