Based in the bustling west Texas city of Abilene, Abilene Christian University is a selective four-year private Christian university that is affiliated with the Churches of Christ. It is the largest private university in southwest US and provides exceptional academic studies in a Christ-centered community.

Students at ACU can choose from 77 baccalaureate majors that cover 135 areas of study, 30 master’s degree programs and three doctoral programs.

ACU ensures that cutting-edge technology is an integral part of each student’s education. Across its campus the university has several state-of-the-art research centers and laboratory spaces, including the AT&T Learning Studio and Learning Commons in Brown Library. It also has a student-to-faculty ratio of 14:1.

All classes at ACU are taught in English. In addition, ACU offers an English as a Second Language program which provides up to 20 hours of ESL instruction per week from the ACU Institute of Intensive English.

The Student Recreation and Wellness Center also provides access to four gyms, outdoor tennis and basketball courts, group fitness classes, a leisure pool and more. It is open 113 hours a week for students, staff and faculty to enjoy.

Not only does Abilene Christian University offer exceptional academics, but the city of Abilene itself has a huge variety of dining, shopping, cultural and entertainment experiences for you to explore and enjoy.

If sport is also a passion of yours, ACU is home to the Wildcats who compete in the NCAA Division I, Southland Conference. They have a huge choice of men’s and women’s athletic teams to choose from.

There are 42 nations represented on campus at ACU. However, international admission to ACU is considerably competitive.
If you are interested in studying at ACU as an international student, there are scholarships available for you:

  • President’s International Scholarship for $18,000 a year for four years
  • Wildcat Housing Grant - $3,000 per year for two years which can be applied to housing costs

Within six months of graduation, a massive 90 percent of Abilene Christian University’s class of 2017 were either employed or in graduate school.
