Kinesiology (formerly Exercise Science) has recently phased out 
tracks in Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) and Physical 
Education Non-Teaching (PYED). A track in Sports and Recreation Management 
has recently been added. KINE tracks are interdisciplinary by 
design with required courses, electives, and laboratory experiences to 
prepare the student for entry into commercial fitness, hospital-based 
fitness, wellness or cardiac rehabilitation, graduate programs in physical 
therapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology, or wellness promotion. Pre-Occupational Therapy Students who wish to pursue professional graduate programs in Occupational Therapy must complete all of the pre-requisites for entry into those programs. The KNOT track provides the pre-requisites for Occupational Therapy schools, in addition to key Kinesiology courses designed to enhance the chances of success in graduate school. A minimum GPA of 3.00 is required for acceptance into the KNOT degree track.
