The Master of Education in Counselling program will equip students for a career in school counselling or to pursue roles in counselling through various agencies. Graduates of the MEd Counselling program meet requirements for the Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) designation with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and the Registered Counselling Therapist – Candidate (RCT-C) designation with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapy (NSCCT). The non-thesis route begins in July and can be completed in 14 months (full-time). Students choosing the thesis route will spend additional time in the program.
