Engineering is a multi-faceted profession that incorporates elements of design, analysis and project management. Engineering students will use science to solve real-world problems and create the things they see around them every day. Students will study pure sciences like physics, math and chemistry along with a wealth of dedicated engineering courses, focusing on practical application of the knowledge gained along the way. The Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) is an Acadia-only degree completed entirely on Acadia’s own campus. It is built around a core of applied science courses and offers students a lot of flexibility in how they choose to structure their programs. It does not on its own qualify a graduate for registration as a professional engineer, but may be combined with the Certificate of Applied Science (CAS) for students interested in that option. Discipline options available in this program are: Chemical; Civil; Computer/Electrical; Environmental; Industrial; Materials; Mechanical; Mineral.
