The Law with Sociology course is led by an experienced team of academics, practitioners, solicitors, barristers and international lawyers. This original and innovative course has been designed in consultation with senior managers to give students both a theoretical and practical experience. As part of this degree, students will have the option to get involved with practical justice including opportunities to shadow a local judge and experience live mediations from our in-house Mediation Clinic. Through CCCU’s strong links with the local community, Citizens Advice, and local courts, students will have the opportunity to act as a Community Legal Companion for unrepresented parties at court. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on work experience in a legal setting. The legal profession is well respected and a career in this field is considered by many to be highly prestigious. It therefore requires professionals with excellent academic ability and a strong work ethic.
