The Department of Mining and Petroleum Engineering offers a Ph.D. Program in Georesources and Petroleum Engineering to Thai and foreign students, using English as the language of instruction.
The Ph.D. program is designed for students holding either an M. Eng. or M.Sc. in related disciplines. The program will serve both academic and industrial demands for highly competent engineers who can conduct both scientific and engineering investigations to solve various problems related to mineral and petroleum resources as well as resources recovery and recycling.
The curriculum operates on a semester system, providing an extensive study in georesources and petroleum engineering which emphasizes on technologies and advanced researches in the following three disciplines:
  • Mining Engineering: a branch of engineering discipline dealing with sustainable raw materials production from the mineral deposits and mineral processing technologies to maximize the value of minerals extracted from the mines. The curriculum also offers mine design and operation.
  • Resources Recycling Engineering: a branch of engineering discipline connecting sustainable resources management, including materials and metal separation technology and waste management.
  • Petroleum Engineering: a branch of engineering discipline connecting with the subsurface activities related to the production of hydrocarbons, either crude oil or natural gas.
