Following the continued success of the Master of Arts in Thai Studies program since 1991, the Department of Thai, Chulalongkorn University, in cooperation with the Thai Studies Center, is offering the Ph.D. Program in Thai Studies. The degree provides students the opportunity to develop an in-depth knowledge of a discipline and thematic subject in Thai Studies under the supervision of recognized experts in the field and to become familiar with current research techniques and methodologies.
The degree consists of six years of supervised doctoral research leading to a dissertation and an oral examination. Topics for research degrees can be in any of the disciplines and fields related to Thai Studies offered at Chulalongkorn University.
