Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, as a state university, aspires to become a world-class university that contributes to national independence and serves as a reference in education, research, community service, and innovation development, especially those supporting industry and maritime affairs. This goal can be achieved through its mission of contributing to science and technology for the welfare of society through education, research, community service, and management activities based on information and communication technology. Therefore, the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Data Analytics, has responded to this development. This response is realized in the establishment of a new Study Program (Prodi), namely the Undergraduate Study Program (S1) in Analytical Science and Chemical Instrumentation.
This new study program was opened due to the need for human resources with expertise in chemical analysis and instrumentation in industry. Surveys of prospective students also indicate that there are prospective students with a specific interest in continuing their studies in more applied programs such as analytical science and chemical instrumentation. Analytical Science and Chemical Instrumentation is a development of the chemical sciences related to detection systems, chemical instrumentation, data science, and methodology development applied to the environment, medicine, halal, forensics, and industry.
