To complement your research, essential laboratory, scientific communication and presentation skills established during your undergraduate degree will be consolidated through workshops and exercises. You'll also be exposed to leading edge methodologies as part of a competitive research team.
By completing Honours, you'll be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge in your field and, through your professional behaviours, the values that shape the work of a professional scientist. You'll also have advanced skills in designing and successfully implementing scientific investigations, analysing and interpreting data and presenting your findings to scientific audiences.
The qualification awarded on graduation is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 8 – Bachelor Degree Honours.

Grade average requirements (Compulsory)
Applicants to the course require an average mark of at least 70 in four discipline-specific 3rd-year subjects and an average mark of 65 across all 3rd-year subjects
