You'll learn how to manage classrooms, design class plans and guide students by spending at least 80 days in schools and education centres across metropolitan, regional and rural Victoria. You'll also be supported with dedicated university mentors to help guide you through your classroom experience.

This government-funded program is only available for Educational Support (ES) staff and Koorie Engagement Support Officers (KESO) and specifically designed to address teacher shortages in regional, rural, and hard-to-staff schools. With flexible, accessible training and support, you'll get the opportunity to make an immediate impact in the classroom.

- benefit from a supportive learning environment where you'll be mentored by teaching staff and learn from leading researchers who are changing the way people learn to read

This course is not available to international students online in 2026.
