You'll gain a detailed understanding of the science behind training, explore the strengths and limitations of the human body, and build strong foundations in physiology, anatomy and biomechanics. You'll use data and scientific principles and techniques to help people build strength, regain movement, prevent injuries and perform at their peak.

By completing La Trobe's Bachelor of Sports and Exercise Science, you will:
  • choose from our recommended majors – human performance, nutrition science and sport and recreation development in Melbourne or food and nutrition,* health promotion and rural health in Bendigo – or tailor your degree with open access majors from a range of disciplines
  • get out of the classroom and on to the field with practical learning and access to our elite athlete performance spaces
  • build real-world experience and connections with 180 placement hours with organisations like Carlton Football Club, Rugby Victoria and Bendigo Spirit
