The RIPPL Institute Visual Design BA Programme trains visual design professionals who are able to solve the design tasks assigned to them in Hungarian and international performative workshops, cinematographic (film and television) productions, art events and exhibitions, with a comprehensive artistic approach and knowledge of the history of the profession, as well as expertise in the field of modern technologies. Drawing skills are a prerequisite for our programme, and drawing and painting, anatomy and object drawing are primary subjects in the curriculum. The theoretical subjects (environmental culture, dramaturgy, history of costume, art history, history of drama and theatre, history of architecture) are designed to provide a foundation for a multi-faceted creative approach.
The Visual Design BA programme works in a close professional connection with the Acting MA programme: our students participate in the stage set and costume design tasks at acting students’ master exams and graduation performances. Our students can learn the profession from nationally and internationally renowned artists and designers at a very high level. Our graduates will have the necessary skills and knowledge to continue their studies at master programmes in national or international institutions.
